For those who have played with me, you would know I get tons of tripping penalties. =P

I get robbed by the goalie, I poke checked the puck, Detroit guy dives to the ice and the puck goes in.
That goal lead to a 3-2 lead with about 11 minutes left in the 3rd. What happened after the goal counted? I went to the box.

I think I've finally played my last game of NHL 09. I won the Cup in Superstar mode by beating the Habs in 7 games. My lines were:

My final review/score of NHL09 - 9.25 (one of the best sports games I've ever played)
I'd have to score it right along in that same range... The fact that I'm still playing it regularly and enjoying it means it's at least a 9.25. Also, if you stay away from it for a week or two and come back to it you realize just how good it is.Originally Posted by Kubrick

If NHL 10 rounds out the rough edges, we could be looking at a true classic.
In the end, NHL 09 blew away all of my expectations. I liked what EA did with NHL 08 but it was clear that the development cycle was just not long enough to put out a great game. NHL 09 was that great game. EA did so many things right with 09. From the control scheme to the visuals to the fun factor, 09 hit all the important notes.
I'm trying to keep my expectations in check for 10 but reading about the Dynasty Mode has got my so ****ing geeked. I really can't wait.
