Brian got deep in the minus because of all the pickup games he played earlier in the year. Then add along the fact that people were juicing for the longest time, that didn't help.

Speaking of which... I played in a pickup game tonight and got pissed off. It was a full 6 on 6. My defensive partner? AFK the whole game. Unreal. And I had 2 out of 3 forwards that will pull the freaking goaltender every time they commit a penalty. They said it's because they don't want to "waste time" sitting in the box.

If you don't want to sit in the box, don't commit penalties! And I'm talking about dumb interference ones where the puck is no where near them.

I finally made myself quit after 5 empty net goals, what a bunch of idiots.

That sucks big time, thats why I stopped playing those pickup games those players lack intelligence and most of the time are glitchers and puck hogs

Well the videos more focused on facewashing after the whistle which engages a fight, so I was wondering if you can still just start a fight in gameplay with the clock running. Speaking of that, I hope EA finally lifted the 3 fight rule, I always thought it was stupid.

What would be sweet is having an all out brawl in the EASHL with multiple fights going on at once.

I wish they'd bring video review back into the game. They did it back when it wasn't allowed to have a toe in the crease but they got rid of it as soon as they got rid of that rule. Maybe have plays where the puck may or may not have crossed the line, or deflected with a high stick, or kicked in, etc. I also miss the "abuse of official" penalty.

Yeah - those early pick up games with juicers really put a dent in my +/- . I think at one time I was like a -250 or so. In some games I would be like a -10 (looking back I should have bailed out) because of the stuff Mel just described. Now I don't even touch pick-up games and am sitting about a -20. My goal is to be a + before 10 comes out :P

Ya man forget about pickup games just play with your club and im sure you'll be a + player before NHL 10 comes out

Man... I've barely played any pickup games, but my team had maybe 8 decent to good players and the rest were horrible. I'm something like -256.

Hmm. My +/- goes up whenever I play a pickup game. The PS3 club team has been pretty bad at times, especially when a couple of our best players go on hiatus for awhile lol. I'm at a -100 something lol.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't worry too much about +/-. It's even more worthless in simulated hockey than real hockey...and that's saying something. If you play good defense and your newb goalie skates around like an idiot and the other team scores...boom...-1.
