I lost my equipment for the legend gm card, no idea what happened.

Either way, I didn't get the offensive defenseman boost pack. And now I'm reading that EA needs to "fix" the unlockables in a upcoming patch. Which is quite fishy seeing as EA probably screwed this up intentionally so that the frustrated people who couldn't unlock this stuff would have purchased it already. Along with all the idiots who already bought the thing without bothering to unlock it.

what I'm going to is play game one of each series, save, sim until there's a deciding game, win out, move to the next team.

If I get lucky I'll only have to play 60-65 games. Ugh.
Some tips for speeding up games:
4 min periods
set the goalie puck pass frequency to full
set pp time elapse to reflect the 4 minute period NOT realtime or whatever the default setting is

Tonight we had some great games.

In the first game, Savnok (Chan) and I played an early game. Were leading in a game 4-1, but the team came back to send it to OT. Sav sends me a pass on the blueline and a guy from the other team skates by me, but doesn't poke check. I shoot my slapshot from the point with no traffic in front at all and won the game. I finished with 2 goals and 3 assists on defense (a point for every goal.) Sav was awesome that game too. My only problem was getting too excited once we were winning by 3 and jumping in on the rush too much, but luckily we got the win.

The team got a couple 1-0 wins, and Ben and I won our last game once again in OT to win 4-3. We went up against a human goalie...but damn he was good. His only weakness was the 1-timer, and we took advantage of that. Sometimes I feel bad using 1-timers so often, but then I think back at how many times it's been used on us in 09 and 10 and say **** it.

I think I'm back on RD once again, with the upgrades I got, my slapshot and overall play is soooooo much better than when we first started. Also maybe the fact that I got used to the game more, but I definately had fun tonight.

Wow I am trying the Battle for the cup challenge thing starting with Washington and going backwards. I'm with Vancouver going against the Pens, my Canucks pushed it to game 6 down 3-2 in the series, and they were losing in game six, 2-1 with 5 minutes left so I intervened. I tied it up, and with 0.1 of a second remaining I shoot with Mitchell from the point and Burrows and Kesler stuff it in. If that isn't clutch, then idk what is!

We were winning 5-0 through the second period of our last game and i was a +5.......and the losers quit.

So last night around 11:00 PM or so, I decided to play one pickup game again. Yeah I know, I already said I won't play those because of the idiots online.

I was already a -30, so I figured... what the hell?

Played on the Nucks against the Leafs. 4 on 4 stuff. The Right Winger on my team quickly takes a Slashing penalty right when the game starts and proceeds to quit.

So I'm left with a Left Winger and a Right Defenseman (as I am Left Defense).

All game long, stupid Left winger refuses to pass and constantly tries to take the puck up the ice himself. I can seriously imagine that his team play HAS to be an F with all the turnovers he gets.

He keeps calling for the puck too, so our computer goalie will never cover the puck. =\

Anyway, I just wanted to make this post because I scored a really exciting game tying goal that made me jump out of my seat.

We were down 2-1. Thankfully, our stupid left winger was in the box for interference. With 8 seconds to play, I managed to draw a tripping penalty at center ice as I was trying to make something happen for the final play.

We get a nice offensive zone faceoff with 8 seconds left. Our computer center loses the face off and their human defense tried to kill time by going behind the net. Both me and my defensive partner rush him hard. My defensive partner dives to the ice and somehow knocks the puck loose. I took the puck from the corner and fired it at the goalie. The goalie makes a pad save and the rebound came back to me.

Here I am, pushing up on the right thumbstick like mad and scored on the rebound with 0.8 seconds left in the game.

So yeah, the most dramatic game tying goal in NHL10 for me so far.

How did it end? We lost 3-2 about 1 minute into OT. The stupid left winger was back out of the box, kept calling for the puck from the goalie, and it was a wide open net shot for the other team.

So now I'm at -31. Whee.

That sounds like an awesome goal Mel - I just wish we would get breaks like that on our team. Did you save the replay and upload it by chance?

I only play pick-up when nobody else is online, and it's either hit or miss. Some games I'll get 5 points, and others I will be a -3 or so. And, the LW sounds like the type of player I despise playing with.

Haha...no **** the last OTP game I played a few nights ago I scored a Game-tying rebound goal with 0.1 seconds left. We lost in overtime but still. It was either 4-3 or 3-2, something like that.
