State of the EASHL - The Human Factor - EA SPORTS Hockey League - EA SPORTS Hockey League: EA Forums

there will always be glitch goals and glitchers that exploit it. Its just out of their hands to do anything about that.
I really want to put my 2 cents in, but in typical EA fashion it is taking forever to sign in after I typed in my email/password. I used to be a member over there back in 2004-2006-ish and the site was as slow as molasses, apparently the sign in page still is. I really hope an actual human read my messages I sent to them because the crap they sent me was so generic.
It really pisses me off that LGK (PS3) team can keep up with all the best teams in the league that play fairly. No one can argue with that, we've hung in with top 25 teams a few times and lost with 1 stupid mistake. With no pull and drag move (curve shot...whatever the hell you wanna call it,) LGK is easily a top 25 team. We can stop it to a certain extent, but after so many times of poking the puck away and getting a tripping call, or trying to hit and missing the player...etc, you're pretty much ****ed because you either lose a defender to the penalty box or get caught out of position...and BAM! Easy goal for them. Then if you don't get scored on and stop the curve shot every time, they go with their natural cheeser instincts and do a wrap-around backhand. So no matter what you do, you're gunna lose a lot of games due to a bunch of people doing anything to cheat, which means your rank drops and you'll never get a legit chance of being a top team!
Another thing that bugs the **** out of me is that stupid bending over thing players do to get the puck from you. Sure, it happens occassionally in real games, but the key word here is occassionally! Not everytime the other team has the puck. They need to make it where the puck goes right through them and makes them look like an ass for trying.
I'm starting to wonder if your stats have anything to do with your overall rating in EASHL.
As you guys know, I play defense 99% of the time.
My stats are:
299 GP
36 Goals
185 Assists
221 Points
+33
Now, as an Offensive Defenseman or Defensive Defenseman, my highest overall rating I can get is 82 when I go to 'Edit Attributes'. I already have a Legend card, but don't have some +5 boosts yet and probably won't ever unlock them by now.
So it's a 82 overall rating when I'm editing the stats, but in-game it shows up as 85 overall rating.
Then I changed my guy to a Sniper and was messing around with the stats. The highest I could make it is only 80 and it shows up as 82 in game. I wonder why? Is it because I only have 36 goals total? It makes me wonder.
Here's the thing, I have seen players (forwards) as high as 89 so far in games. I have also seen goalies as high as 93 overall. I'm thinking there's no way you can get that high, even with all +5 boosts and your legend card. And when I do see those 91-93 overall rated goalies, they have really impressive stats.
Thoughts? Or am I just insane?
How is it even possible to see other people's ratings? My player gets as high as 80 or 81 and I really doubt anyone else is much higher.
I think I'm at an 82 as an offensive Dman. you could probably get it higher if you spread your points all around to raise everything, but who gives a rats ass about some of those stats? haha.
I use +5 boosts except for a +3 on slapshot power and +3 on acceleration.
People usually hit pause all the damn time in EASHL (or pickup) games. Or they take forever during intermission to watch replays so you have the full 30 seconds after all the replays and during pauses to wait around.
So what I usually do is go to Game Stats - Player Stats and look at peoples names. The default rating is 70 for all the computer players/goalie.
That's where you go to see the ratings. My player, being 82 is rated as 85 inside the game. If they're not in the 80s you know they don't have their legend card. But like in my original post, I was wondering how players got as high as 93. So it made me wonder whether or not your stats came into play, and not just the legend card and the +5 boosts.
