Goalies have NO style. They all play the same exact way, never make crazy saves, they let in the same cheese goals over and over (since they didn't learn the first time.)
NHL 12
If a player is pinning himself against the boards to avoid a hit, how realistic is that? If he's pressed up against the boards, then I should be able to destroy him! Also, if I hit or bump a guy, and he's spinning around (or whatever motion happens after a weak hit,) my teammate should still be able to crush him. The player shouldn't be invincible just because he got bumped.
NHL 13
When I dive to block a shot or steal the puck, why is it that only my body or blade of my stick can get the puck? Why does the puck go through the rest of the stick?
NHL 14
Fighting is alright, but you should be able to hit with both hands and not be attached to the other player. Kind of what they did with the 2K series for a little while, but better...where you could skate around. Why not add mutliple fights at once, too? Why do you always get a penalty for trying to fight in game? I'm pretty sure most fights happen while the puck is still in play, not after the whistle.
NHL 15
In goalie be a pro, the cpu is so retarded that I get bored watching them. All they do is pass back and forth until they get the worst shot possible or the puck gets stolen.
...
Random whistles during gameplay because the game glitches if the puck is in between the goalie and the post. I know in real life, the ref blows the whistle if he doesn't see the puck.. but when it happens in the game, it's nothing like a real NHL game.
NHL 17
Minor fix, but kind of annoying when you score in overtime and the light doesn't turn on. Sometimes I don't know if I scored or not.
.... NHL 20
Why not have broken sticks? It would add a different element to the game if you had to choose between skating to the bench and grabbing a new stick or fighting for the puck without one. On top of that, handing your stick to the defender if he breaks his stick.
NHL 21
The last minute is desperation time if you are down by a goal. Whether you are online or offline, your team doesn't fight for the puck like they do in a real NHL game. It's still the same flow as it was all game long.
Never
I'm sure I can think of more, but there you go.
