couldn't find the NHL 10 thread, so just have a quick question.


For those who do team play online and use there Be A Pro player, can you use multiple pros online?

For instance, can I make a Center in Be a Pro and play with him online, then make a defenseman in BAP and use him in online team play also? If so, how? Thank you

You can't Brandon. You only have one Be A Pro guy online.

When you're playing offline, you can create multiple save files so you can have a defenseman for one file, a left wing sniper, or a goalie. Of course, you're going to need to re-create your guy every time.

For online play, the offline character does not carry over to online.

I'll use myself as an example. On our LGK team, I normally play left defense. I have my stats set up as a defenseman. But keep in mind, when you're about to play online you can always pick what position you want to play. The big disadvantage is that if I pick a center, I'm not going to win any faceoffs unless the other guy really sucks.

EA Sports will keep track of your stats too. You can change your position and stat points when you go to edit your player. So if I went from a defenseman to a center, then I can reallocate my stat points so I would be a better center.

Thanks TC, that helped tremendously. I just changed him to an offensive d-man and made his attributes fit accordingly.

Where are the Be A GM mode updates?!

The mode is nearly unplayable after about 2 seasons. From the absurd amount of trades, to the lack of RFAs to the massive amount of 80+ rated players rotting in Free Agency hell.

I'm currently working on year 8 of my Be A GM. Lines are as follows:

Kovalchuk/Crosby/Okposo
Nash/Lombardi/Simmonds
drafted player/Richardson/Brown

Johnson/Doughty

Doughty has won the Norris 5 out of the last 6 seasons. Kings have captured the Cup 3 times while I've been at the helm. Kovalchuk has 775 career regular season goals. He's 35 years old.

There is some bits of info that I learned from it (that have not been announced so far)

NEW INFO!:
- Presentation has been completely overhauled this year. EA has worked with a company that does all the graphics with ESPN, TSN. (ex: the new scoreboard tsn style)
- A new game mode that has not been revealed yet, Rammer has said that it is the most addictive mode to date that he has ever played on a game.
- No goalie fights...
- EA has tried to make every NHL arena as unique as possible to the real life one.
- New intros for all the teams in NHL 11
- Rammer gives a big hint that in this years Be a GM mode you will be able to give Offer Sheets to Restricted free agents (well find out more in 2 weeks)

Sweet. Also like the Ramones, but they could've picked better songs from the bands.

Shipping off to Boston is the most over-played and obnoxious song. I thought it was pretty cool when I first heard it, but now it just gives me headaches. I'll use custom soundtracks anyway, but hopefully they fix it to where I can here my music in every game...not when the game decides to use them.
