Yeah, its official. Game Misconducts are in EASHL. Be careful!!!

First period, I had already taken a stupid delay of game and I think a tripping penalty. My Grades were... Position Score: A+, Team Play: D, Stats: C+ (Because the score was 0-0).

About 1:56 into the 2nd period, I got a 5 minute major for Checking from Behind and a Game Misconduct. I was shocked since that wasn't in NHL 10 EASHL (only offline). Plus, we've all been crushed along the glass that looked 10x worse by opponents yesterday and there were no penalties called.

I apologize again to Boozehound, Dexter, and Cross Traffic. Not like I was intentionally going for a game misconduct since I didn't know it was in EASHL. My final grades? A+, F, C+ lol

The cool thing though is that in one of the games, I got in a fight and got my face beaten in. The fight was stupid in the first place, this guy was trying to fight Watti and that menu showed up on the top right corner. I had the puck and was trying to board play myself to protect the puck but it made me fight. Anyway, I won the fight though but the animation showed me grabbing my face.

Well, later in the game... I scored a goal and it showed me celebrating with the jaw protector attached to my helmet. That was so cool! *Waits for Boozehound to post the pic*

On the HUT make sure to check my collection for the free cards you got for the demo. I didn't realize I had Letang and Montador sitting there.

Defense is useless. Pokechecking is useless. Stick lift is useless. So many bogus penalties. Our computer doesn't do anything about one-timers while theirs is so dogged about defending them. They rush up the ice and our computer escorts them to the net, we do the same and get crushed.

Between 09 and 10 we would win 7 or 8 out of ten games and we'd do it cleanly, and while our record isn't awful right now, we lose often when outshooting, outpossessing, and outchancing the other team.

Every game is decided by nothing more than luck; a double deflection, the goalie completely blowing a routine shot, half the team being sent to the box for bulls*** penalties for having the audacity to even try to play some semblance of D.

No sooner I write this than our computer D turns around a dumps the puck into our own net. Fail game is fail.

I actually spent 5-6 hours adding the custom music for goals/pk/pp/intros/homewins etc. I must say it was well worth it! although tedious as hell.

Well well well, buy my first standard pack.....I get another ex-King, 39 year old Jaroslav Modry. Did pick up my first win online with HUT though, an OT winner against an idiot who thought its a great idea to let the goalie play the puck after each save. One poke check and its in the net.

Odd that you're having lots of problems with the game. I think it's great so far. =o

Maybe I just suck, but the computer defense is pretty good at stealing the puck from you, even when they shouldn't. When I try to pass in a 2 on 1 breakaway situation, there are times that the computer will intercept the pass even though they're not in the position to do so.

I agree, Pokechecking is a bit uneffective. The only time I notice it works is when there is a scrum along the boards or if the puck is loose in front of the net. If I try to pokecheck the puck off of the player, I'll likely get a tripping penalty.

Sticklifting is way too powerful IMO. People just mash the button like crazy and it works.

I feel your pain. I hate losing games when we have about 30+ shots (and 15+ are really good chances) with 1 goal and the other team gets 2-3 goals in 7 shots.

What position do you play in EASHL? If I'm playing without Cross Traffic as my defensive partner, I find the cpu pretty reliable in NHL11 so far. I even like how the computer RW plays. He'll dump the puck if he has to, he'll carry the puck in the zone if he has room, and he'll even deke here and there. The only problem with computer players is that they can't finish.

I've been pretty good with poke checking so far. You just have to time it perfectly.
