Be a GM Improvements

Another new feature we’ve added to the game is Retired Jersey Numbers in all game modes. So this means if you create a player with the number 9 (or a player is traded and is number 9) and put him on Montreal, the game will choose another number for him unless the user assigns one for him manually. We will be retiring numbers from all of the leagues in the game and not just the NHL. If retired jerseys are not your thing well you have the option to turn them off before you create the league.



Some other notable things that we’ve done for NHL 12 are:

· Young players no longer will ask for ludicrous contracts at such a young age.

· We’ve increased the amount of injuries to further mimic real life.

· Players should Retain their Jersey numbers during the course of a season (No More Tomas Plekanec Losing his #14 mid way through the year)

Oh fantastic. That's their big improvement to Be a GM.

I'm not excited about NHL 12 at all. (I think the cheaters really crossed the line this year on NHL 11)

But I'm going to buy it anyway because I love hockey and I want to play with my super freaking awesome EASHL team. Good times.

i have bought every EA NHL game since 97. If i have like 25 games on ma ps or xbox like 13 would be hockey lol

Mel, great positioning and pokecheck HOLD is your best defense against cheese shots as a D man. you have to be careful, however, because after you hold out the poke, your guy isn't going to move very well.

what I can tell you is that on the PS3 side, I've eliminated most of the cheese type wristers that I had no clue how to stop for a long time. the hold either blocks the shot or deflects it with your stick. it won't work by spamming poke, you have to hold it. also, it may help a lot that I use a forward setup for my D man (I can't remember if it is a TWF or a PF).
