Here's a heads up.

Amazon has a pre-order going where you'll get $15 in promotional credit. I think I might do this instead of Best Buy now. It pretty much has the same pre-order bonus with the EASHL items. Except that it's Bauer and Best Buy has the Reebok brand.

if you pre-order from amazon, do you have to wait a day or two for shipping?

Nope, that's only Toys R Us.

For Amazon, you need to make sure you select the option "Release Date Shipping". A lot of people tend to make a mistake and select "Free - 2 Day Shipping" (probably from Amazon Prime) and they'll get it late.

The few times I have ordered from Amazon, the release date shipping only adds 99 cents to the shipping fees. But that's because I ordered it kind of last minute... not sure if they charge the extra dollar if you do it now. (I should go do it later today)

they are tacking on $7.XX for the 2 day release date shipping. I'll just go get it from Best Buy down the street I think.

You're right. That's bizarre. That was not there before... Anyone else know why they're charging that much for release date shipping? Did they get greedy or something? It definitely wasn't like that before.

Amazon is offering $24.30 for NHL12 to sell it back to them.

WOW! Because it's cleary EA's fault that Amazon charges more for shipping. That makes so much sense...NOT!

I e-mailed Amazon about the release date option not being there and asked why it was charging for two day shipping instead.
