Alright, I'm starting to get the hang of it. After being shut-out 4 games previously, I have won the last 4 games by the scores of 5-3, 3-0, 4-0, and 7-0!!! It really is possible to score a goal!

I feel your pain. When you out shoot them 42-9 and still lose, it's called "fake difficultly" mode. There is really nothing you can do if the game wants you to lose... and that's unfortunate. I'm not the best at controlling every player in GM Mode, Season Mode, GM Connected mode etc. I'm more of a EASHL guy where I only worry about myself.

But the GM Connected mode sure is frustrating. I picked the Minnesota Wild and both Backstrom and Harding doesn't seem to want to stop the puck. When I played against the CPU controlled Dallas Stars, on 6 of their first period shots, 4 of them went in. 3 of them were when they barely crossed the blue line. That's absolutely ridiculous.

I traded Harding and a 7th round pick for Brodeur and a 6th round pick. So far, Brodeur has been a little bit better.. and I've been winning a few more games.

All I can tell you is that you have to mix things up on offense as best as you can to counter the AI learning. Have your defense blast the puck from the point. Take random slap shots and wrist shots with your snipers any chance you can get. The only thing EA really did with the computer goalies is to have them make impossible saves against the cross crease one timers. If anything, they have way more weaknesses all around. They give up nothing but fat rebounds. So maybe you already noticed, but when in doubt... shoot low and get a rebound chance. I scored a few goals in offline Be A Pro by ramming into the goalie and having the puck slide in.

My biggest gripe is the penalties and they need to patch this crap. You can get away with the most obvious of interference calls and people online take advantage of that. As long as you're within 5 feet of the puck, they can check the hell out of you because it won't get called. They tried to nerf the poke check in the latest tuner because every little stumble they take, it's a penalty.

We've seen this time and time again. The game comes out perfectly fine but they keep tweaking the game little by little to cater to the cheesers and cheaters.

Heh...I was playing an EASHL game the other day and some ******* kept running into me, knocking me over. It happened 2 more times in the last 10 seconds of the game and my team was winning. So right when there was 2 seconds left, I went after him and hit him, knocking him on his ass. I would've got a penalty if time didn't run out, but it felt nice getting him back. That's one of the most annoying things in this game for me though. People can knock you on your ass and get away with it, meanwhile I go to hit someone with the puck and he moves, so I hit his team mate right next to him...barely even nudging him, and I get the penalty. It's just stupid. Obviously if there is a guy with the puck right next to me, I'm trying to hit him. They need a lock on system like a first person shooter or something, haha.

Getting the hang of playing D in EASHL. As far as checking, my 6'2" 205lb D man couldn't check anyone enough to seriously knock them off the puck until high 70's and low 80's into checking, agressiveness and strength.

Edit: I say getting the hang of it after roughly 40+ games played..

Now that I'm a little better than the random players in Lobby, I'm looking for an EASHL Club to play with. Anyone on Xbox live have a club with mature adults looking to have some fun and maybe win a couple games? Or is there a website where I can find clubs?

While trying to make a simple clear off the boards and out of the zone on the PK my BAP defenseman just did a behind the back, reverse, slapshot, backhand, centering pass to the other team for a goal. All in one motion. Sigh. I know the 'computer' cheats to win, but really?

There aren't enough buttons and sticks and pads on my controller to do what my player just did.
