1. Insane/close to impossible saves followed by goals scored by an unobstructed wrister from the blueline.
2. Computer players wobble, but they don't fall down. I can charge them from half the rink away into the boards and they just keep right on going...meanwhile my players will fall from a dirty look.
3. Insane ability to pick off passes, yet they can pass all over me and there's nothing I can do.
4. WTF is with the bouncing? Players literally BOUNCE off the boards.
5. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY Can't they get Gary Thorne to pronounce even the most simplest of names like WARD or Simmonds??? Is that a joke or something?? Ward pronounced Warrid? Simmonds pronounced SighMonds?? And there's MANY more. Fix that **** man! It's been going on for years now!
Our GM Connected mode is on Superstar and I find it too easy. One player even scores 15 goals a game.
so you have the solution to the problem but are too proud to use it. this is user error, not a programming error.
so superhuman goalie/goalie saves are a problem in this game?
I really enjoyed last years game but if this game makes it almost impossible to score and lessens the "fun factor" of the game......
I should stay away from it until its fixed right?
I'm making Gary Thorne mis-pronounce everyone's name?
I'm making the goalies make ridiculous lateral ninja-like saves?
I'm the one who lets in soft wristers from the blue-line?
2012 was a better, more fun game IMO. Some games were close and some I ran up the score, but the computer seemed to be playing the same game.
Again, I am winning at this game. It is just a lot more frustrating to play because of the glitches and the difference in play between human controlled players and computer controlled.
EASHL is absolutely frustrating this year for me. I agree with Palffy on everything this mentioned in this thread regarding it. I have 60 games played and only 20 wins. Unreal.
In past years, I struggled a little to maintain an A- when I got near the Legend Card requirement. Now, I can't get any damn wins. This didn't happen either until the most recent tuner update. I have 2 wins in the last 25 games. I'm beyond frustrated.
Our club can clearly out play the other club. There is no question about that. For every 10 super awesome scoring chances we get, the other team only gets 1. The computer goalie cheats by making all the impossible saves, it's just unreal. Then of course, when the other team gets that one great scoring chance, they score.
The other day, we lost a game 2-1 in 4 OTs. We outshot them 54-23. They won the game because the computer scored for them. -_-
I don't understand EA's programming at all this year. Nothing needed to be fixed when the game came out. The only thing I wanted was for interference penalties to be called. 4 tuner updates later, they broke the game and interference penalties are still not called. Awesome.Quote:

But we're on Superstar, so it doesn't bother me. My only gripe as usual when playing the CPU is that if they are programmed to win that game, they'll win at all costs. I lost to the Ducks in one game because they scored 5 goals on the first 6 shots. Just 6 shots, all random shots as soon as they cross the blue line. You can battle back as hard as you can, but as soon as you score a few goals they'll score a few back.
Yeah, I was thinking about that last night while playing. The game was pretty awesome when it first came out, but then (just like every single year,) they just had to make a tuner set to destroy the game. I don't get why they do that. They work all year to make the game a certain way and tear it down within a couple weeks. Don't fix what isn't broke.
I bitch every year about problems the game has, but this year it's ridiculous. I would honestly rather lose against cheesers than lose on fluke goals. At least against cheesers, you have a chance to win...but with the way this game is programmed, it's all about being lucky. I'm at the point where I told my team I need a break from the game. We play almost every night, but if I'm not having fun, I'm not gunna play. If I didn't buy the game through PSN I would've returned it already.
To anybody who hasn't bought the game yet, don't waste your money. EA took every little bit of fun out of the game already, so go buy a used version of last year's game if you need a hockey fix...or at least if you do buy 13, don't download the tuner sets.
I saw the Kings Championship banner raised today...in NHL 13.
