I'd honestly not be surprised if it was the Pens and some Canadian teams.

From the article Conglaturation posted, it sounds very promising, but it does every year and they always cater to cheaters instead of making it more realistic.

Here's some more thoughts:

Take out pausing, replays, and cutscenes online. There is no need to see Joe Blow picking his nose on a cutscene, there is also no reason anyone should pause online. If you're not ready to play, get the **** out. Replays are worthless too, I get pretty irritated when people watch a typical one-timer they score on every game and refuse to press the X button to skip it (on PS3.)

Also, immediately hand a team the loss if they quit right when the game begins. If they want to waste my time by pressing X to ready up and go through all the loading screens just to quit, they should get the loss. I'm sick of teams quitting when they see the banner ceremony after your team won a championship. If you want to have the cutscene, that's fine...but it should only be played one time. Not every game, because then teams quit on you. I'm also really sick of the 19 minute rule, meaning you have to wait a minute into the game to score a goal. If you score right off the bat, other teams quit and have no repercussions. If they can't play defense, then why should my team get punished because we scored right away?

They need a change goalie option on EASHL. Sick of having ****ty goalies in net giving up the dumbest goals on a weak shot from the blueline or on an impossible angle. If that happens, why can't my team switch our goalie to change it up a bit?

I know I'm complaining about realism, but EA needs to add a new penalty in the game that isn't in the real NHL. Give penalties to players who sit at my blueline, cherry picking all game long. I shouldn't have to babysit them when I play defense, and it happens quite often. Either that, or there needs to be a feedback system to where you can give each individual player or team negative feedback for the world to see. If they want to play like that, I feel like everyone else deserves to know. It would also be great for a feedback system like that, so you can tag them for cheesing if they try the same cheap move over and over. I'd prefer it be anonymous though, just so they couldn't try and screw you over and give you negative feedback for telling the truth.

Every year you see those guys in the leaderboards, 2500 games played, 15000 points (13000 of them being goals.) I might be exaggerating on that, but not by much. Every time I get matched up on their team in OTP, they are puck hogs. They tap their stick at you and your team mates all game long until you give them the puck. Then they have their player flying down the ice, purposely getting offsides if you don't pass to them. When you do give them the puck, they never pass back to anyone. They fly down the ice and move their stick around at impossible angles so no one can touch them, then they score on some cheap shot, or they miss and start tapping their stick all over again. They cherry pick and refuse to help out on defense, then expect you to give them the puck. I ****ing hate those guys, they deserve to be permanently banned.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'll put the two teams that had finalists in the cover vote just so they don't have to put the Kings there.

Completely agree here. I don't understand people in pick-up games, they pick their position (like RW for example) and then just sit there idle. If you're not going to play, then don't PLAY. The game should detect things like that and immediately boot you if you're not ready to go 15 seconds after the puck drop.

Intermission might be a different story because sometimes you just gotta piss and you can't make it back on time... but even then, do it between the games.

This would be nice for sure. Unfortunately, 75% of the people cheese in some way so this would be hard to monitor. It's a great idea, but EA could really care less in the long run. All they look at is the sales and DLC upgrade crap that people are dumb enough to pay for.

But adding to your feedback system, I think just having a "vote to kick" option is good enough. To avoid it being abused... here's a good example of what should happen.

- Say someone who picks LD doesn't actually play defense. Instead, he cherry picks and tries to cheese every time he gets. To kick him, at least half the team have to vote to get rid of him (and the votes should be anonymous).

Obviously, he would get upset and intentionally vote to kick others just because he got kicked... but the kicker here (no pun intended) should be that if you get kicked more than a few times a day, you are not allowed to vote to kick anyone else.

This would eliminate the majority of the people who:

- Cherry pick all game long
- Go offsides on purpose because they don't think they're getting the puck enough
- Refuses to pass and try to do everything themselves
- Score on own goals because the human goalie let in a bad goal

And the list goes on and on...

Kind of depressing isn't it? As good as the game is and how fun it can be... there can be SO many improvements and fixes to truly make the game enjoyable for all.

Glad you agree, and I didn't think of voting to kick players. That's a good idea as well. I don't even play OTP that much (basically for the reasons you and I both put.) People not playing their positions, the stick tappers/puck hogs, and goalies who only play because their position is taken already.

In fact, speaking of positions being taken, in OTP I really hate when 90% of the room leaves and you and another player or 2 get stuck in a 1 on 2 game when the room was full 2 seconds before. If people quit, it should unready automatically for you so you don't get sucked in to a waste of time.

Here's another complaint:

Jersey colors- The customized jersey thing is pretty flawed. A lot of teams purposely pick both their home and away jerseys as dark colors, forcing you to go white even if you're the home team. That should not be allowed. Also, I ****ing hate the teams that use that terrible gray color, where it screws you because you don't know whether to go white or dark. It ends up ruining the entire game because it's hard to tell what players are on your team and who isn't on your team. The way it should be from now on is taking away the color choices and forcing them to use NHL jerseys only, they can pick from any NHL team's away jerseys for away games and put their own logo on it, then when they are home, let them pick from NHL team's home or alternate jerseys (provided they are dark,) and once again, put their own logo on it. Then force everyone to use dark jerseys at home and light jerseys away. They could still give you the option of choosing what jersey you want to wear, but make it so only dark jerseys show up in the change jersey selection at home, and light jerseys show up when you're away.

Also, here's a small thing that I've been asking for since NHL 09 that has no effect on gameplay, but I think it would be really Letting you either pick your team captain and alternates for good in EASHL, and it shows the letters on your jersey in game...or at least give the player who started the game search on your team the C (and the next 2 people on your team to pick their positions the A's,) since it says you are the captain when you search for a game in EASHL. I guess it wouldn't matter if they took out cutscenes and replays like I suggested, but that probably won't happen anyway so it would be cool if they added the letters in.
