Just picked up FIFA 12 and let me say, my fears are now confirmed, NHL 12 is indeed a sub par game. Well, its fun, and has many redeeming qualities, but after playing FIFA I realized the makers of FIFA actually know the ins and outs of football, its such a deep game. The makers of NHL 12 on the other hand, well its just so easy to see that their understanding of the sport is limited. The presentation is also a **** show, and the GM mode is about as deep as a blow up kiddy pool. Until they add a whole new level of presentation before, during, and after games, greatly improve the scouting system (aka copy fifa), add increased depth and control in the GM mode, and update the goalies and STILL wonky physics I will not be purchasing another NHL. Such a good base game, but the details are all missing, and continue to be ignored year after year while they seem to make arbitrary updates like a whole new hitting system or skating system. Just frustrating...
