Here's a hands-on:

"Another thing I felt was great was the new feel of the right-stick manual dekeing. Whereas last year the function felt much choppier and had somewhat of a stutter and lack of control, this year’s implementation is probably the best I’ve seen in a hockey video game to this point. While this feature has been in hockey video games for quite some time, it has rarely ever been done correctly, and that’s in regards to both 2K and EA.
It’s usually the backhand position that is done unrealistically, with players awkwardly gliding with the puck about four feet to the side. For anyone who plays real hockey, you know that dekeing a goaltender from left to right does not cover a 12 foot span regardless of whether you’re one of the world’s greatest players or not. The guys who changed this function for 2K10 took this into consideration, as players will now tuck the puck closer to their body on the backhand than on the forehand."

No Demo for NHL 2K10 - Operation Sports
No demo for 2k10...very poor business move on their part.
Wow...i was told august 20th, then september 1st and now none?! Wtf?

You can look at that both ways.
#1 - Poor business decision because you're missing out on potential customers who might like the demo.
OR
#2 - Smart business decision because people who are curious will have to shell out cash to buy it (or rent) and they'll make money that way.
Just like the days before PS3 and Xbox360. I can't recall how many terrible games I purchased since there weren't any demos available.
Not saying I expect NHL2K10 to be terrible, but I don't have any hopes for it since NHL10 is already on my "must buy" list.

You're welcome.

Take Two has been doing terrible this year in sales, they are low in resources as they cut a big portion of their workforce. I know the NHL franchise development team is pretty small, so it's not too hard to fault them for not releasing a demo. Although, they did release a whole period of game play video on 2khockey.net, and even though I'm still getting the game, it doesn't look too impressive.

Agreed and agreed.
NHL 10 is a lock for me to buy. I would have considered buying 2K10, in addition to NHL 10, if the demo was good. Now it is a lock for me not to buy 2K10, unless all my homies on LGK tell me that it is way better than NHL 10.... then I will have to reconsider![]()
