Demo date of 4/30 has been announced for this title:
(May 12th ship date)
on both the Games For Windows LIVE and Xbox LIVE marketplaces

The official Battlestations: Pacific single-player demo features a complete mission from the US campaign as well as two multiplayer modes playable in single-player Skirmish mode.

In the single-player mission, you will experience sea and air combat. First, you will defend the fleet against kamikaze attacks from a battleship, and then fly the F4U Corsair fighter to take out airfield and island defenses. Finally, you'll launch and fly fighter planes along with torpedo and dive-bombers in an all-out attack to sink Japan's largest battleship.

After that, you can play two of the five new multiplayer modes in single-player Skirmish mode.

Hopefully some LGKer's will be playing this, especially if they improve the MP hiccups from the last title's DLC.

I really wanted to try Midway or...hell, I can't even remember the other title. Never got around to it, but heard some good things, and then some not so good things. Being the wargame junkie I am, I'll probably give the demo a shot, at least.

I think I remember playing that Midway game - it was pretty cool.

the last mission was virtually impossible on the hard setting if I remember correctly. they had unlimited planes.

Battlestations: Midway was a decent title. Then they released an MP add-on that crashed us everytime we played.

I am hoping that this MP game delivers everything promised, until then please check out the demo, rent, or play on a friend's copy.

It has become too much of an industry standard to release a title with bugs, rush to patch it, and then the patch messes things up, and the company is out of money to fix it.

Sad but true.
