Paradox Interactive - E3 2009: Fans Q&A session for Hearts of Iron III released
Some Hearts of Iron III features revealed in the E3 presentation are:
· Historical Events & Decisions
· Completely new information about deployment.
· Unit control together with automation.
· Details on the new Logistics system.
Hearts of Iron III is now in the Beta stage of development. These last months the team has been stabilizing the foundations of the AI, tightening up the rules and mechanics of the game, along with implementing brand new artwork and interface features.
Game Summary
The third instalment in the critically acclaimed World War II strategy series, Hearts of Iron III will feature a plethora of brand new features to satisfy veteran and novice players alike, including a huge game map with more than 14,000 land and sea provinces. Hearts of Iron III is scheduled for release during the latter half of 2009.
Absolutely cannot wait for this one, still play the second installment, and the PC modding community has been stellar in supporting this franchise as well.

Never played HoI but I have played EUIII and loved it, at least with both expansions.

Demo out now!
Paradox Interactive - Downloads and will be updated continuously.
Demo can be had there for those who enjoy grand strategy.
The 14,000 province map should provide all sorts of interesting strategic options.
The game releases tomorrow and is available on several download sites, each have pre-order options. The best, IMHO is at this site:

It offers sprites for American and German units in-game. Other sites offer other deals if you don't like using sprites in your wargames.
