There were only a few penalties taken in this game which is why it was a lot closer than the first game. I was 4/7 on the PP in the first game but only 0/2 in this game.
1st period: The Bruins controlled the majority of the period with the lone goal by Milan Lucic. It was a good tip-in from a blast by the point and came within the first two minutes of the period.
2nd period: The Senators answered back by getting the majority of the chances in which Foligno and Alfredsson netting one goal each to take the lead 2-1.
3rd period: A one-timer in the left slot by Jason Spezza made it a two-goal lead early in the period. Then Mike Comrie scored a goal with a lucky bounce by a poke check in front of the net. This made the lead 4-1. The Bruins made things interesting by Chuck Kobasew netting a shorthanded goal with 6 minutes left to make it 4-2. Another letdown again from the Senators by them taking a bad penalty in the offensive zone. But the Bruins took a big hit when Phil Kessel got injured on the power play by a clean-crushing hit from Daniel Alfreddson. After a good penalty kill by the Senators the momentum shifted and Mike Comrie scored an insurance goal from the left slot to make a 5-2 victory.
I want to thank gokingsgo25 for battling these two games with me and watti for letting me be in the tournament. Now on to round 2! Byabitch79 (however you say it) you're going down!
