Recap: Game 1 the Jackets were able to shut down the Sharks offensive lines and were able to come out winners in 3-0 win leading the series 1-0
Recap: Game 2 was a thriller, both team scoring back and forth as the Jackets were leading 2-1 the sharks were rewarded a penalty shot with under a minute left, unfortunatly the Sharks did not capitaliz on that chance, but Jumbo Joe scored quickly after sending it to overtime, both teams could not find a way to score in overtime pushing it to a shootout, as 4 players failed to convert on the shootout Vermette went to his bag of tricks and did the triple deke backhand scoring on his shootout attempt and rookie sensation Steve Mason was able to stop the Sharks last shooter ending game 2 with a score of 3-2, thus ending the series 2-0, Gokor84 you were a very exciting opponent to play against thank you for playing with me

Nice, on to the conference finals! Great recaps everyone, I'll update the tournament graphic when I get home tonight, but go ahead and contact your next opponent and start whenever you're ready, no reason to wait until Sunday.

This thing is moving along nicely. :good:

In NHL 2010, they better put in a spectate mode. Some of these close games I'm reading about are worth watching.

We should be able to roam around in the crowd, sit anywhere in the arena we want (basically a free roaming camera to view the game), and hold up signs and stuff. :)

Thx Henrik you are though man i couldnt get one good one timer becuse of ur good def, and the ones i could damn mason robbed me. anyhow good luck in the western conference finals man and i hope to play with you again for fun :smoke:

that would be sick, hopefully when i get nachos i won't have to wait for play to stop to go back to my seat ^_^

I hope whoever wins this knows that I will be invoking my automagic rematch clause immediately following this tournament to reclaim my title. ;)

I've also considered turning the "LGK Cup" into more of an LGK Championship Belt (ala WWE) that can be challenged for in stand-alone best-of-5 series', along with the occasional tournament.

We can even go all-out and come up with some kind of graphic that the current title holder can display proudly in their sig.

Anybody?

RECAP: Ottawa controlled the majority of the game by netting five unanswered goals. And going into the 3rd period, Tampa Bay finally broke the shut out by netting a power play goal. The Lightning controlled the majority of the third period but it would be too late as The Lightning could not net another goal. Then with thirty seconds left Ottawa netted an insurance goal to make the final score 6-1.

RECAP: Tampa Bay got an early power play goal but Ottawa’s Spezza answered right back with a shorthanded goal. But one minute later Tampa Bay got another PP goal to make it 2-1. Another PP goal by Stamkos and another goal by Malone stretched the lead to 4-1. They never looked back as Ottawa kept taking bad penalties and Tampa Bay controlled the rest of the game by defeating the Senators 6-2 and evened the series 1-1.

RECAP: This game was a lot closer than the previous two. Comrie, left alone in front of the net, made it 1-0 with seven seconds left in the 1st period. Then Tampa Bay tied in the second period from a good shot right in the slot. Then with less than five minutes remaining in the game Dany Heatley got a clutch goal by receiving a pass that passed by two defenders and netted a one-timer top shelf. But Ottawa took a penalty with two minutes left and with a good penalty kill, the Lightning took a penalty with less than a minute to go which Ottawa made no mistake and held on to the puck until the final buzzer sounded and Ottawa triumphed 2-1.

Gokings 71 was a very good opponent and although the first two games seemed like blow-outs, the series was pretty much even as you can tell from the third game. Now on to the Stanley Cup Finals! Luckyluc20 and KingHenrik I'll be waiting for you!
