ya im in on the next one too, i got eliminated to early because khabibulin suddenly became the best goalie in the world.

DieAvsDie had a nice first goal in the 1st period when Lecavalier got the pass in the slot and fired in a one timer.

The 2nd goal was quite pathetic (in my point of view). Garon had just stopped a shot. I had two defenders in front of him, I pressed the right trigger button to play the puck. The puck hit my defenseman and went in the net. He didn't get checked by DieAvsDie either, so that was weird for sure.

In the 2nd period with like 11 minutes left (or so), it said I lost connection with my opponent. DieAvsDie told me it might have been him because he is on a wireless connection. The e-mail results does say that I lost 2-0 though.

We moved onto Game 2, and we got disconnected again after like 8-9 minutes played in the 1st period with the score 0-0.

Well, Watti swept me. Game 2 was just like Game 1 as far as a dead-even defensive battle, up until the last 5 minutes. He had killed 2 penalties already. I went on a 3rd power play, hoping to score a goal to take the lead, but Watti got a shorthanded goal followed by another with 5 seconds remaining in my power play. Not cheap stuff either. He just beat me defensively, broke loose, and beat my goalie.

Vancouver wins series 2-0

Great game, man. Like I said in my message on Live, hopefully we can get in a friendly rematch once I get some practice. And any other tournaments or other such things you set up, I'll be sure to join. Good luck the rest of the way.

This series shouldn't have been a sweep. Matt's a great opponent, extremely tough to get any quality shots off. Fleury did stand on his head through the first two periods, stopping a few chance breakaways, but it was largely a defensive stalemate yet again. And then in the 3rd, I was in a bit of hot water due to some stupid penalties, but managed to squeak a couple short handed goals in to take the series.

Pittsburgh, PA (Los Angeles Times) - Pittsburgh netminder Marc-Andre Fleury shows his frustration after Vancouver's Jannik Hansen buried a short-handed breakaway to carry the Canucks past the Penguins 2 games to none. Sidney Crosby was unavailable for comment.

And one other thing.... I'm a bit skeptical about the stats that are emailed after the games. It says I was 0/13 on my one-timers and 2/15 on my shots on goal, meaning my only two non-one timers were my 2 goals, but that's not true. I had at least 2 breakaways where I was stoned by Fleury (it only gives me credit for 2 total), and a couple times where I skated in front of the net and tried to go 5-hole. Those weren't one-timers...
