Alright, sounds like our remaining 2 first round matchups will be underway within the next day or so... hoping to get some results tonight, actually.

A quick note on the graphic in the first post, I added Hawkeye but the teams are inaccurate and for some reason it reverted back to showing DieAvsDie with a 1-0 lead over TooCool, but that should be 0-0 since no games have been completed. I'll fix it this evening.

We just finished up our games. Thankfully no disconnections this time around as it went by really smoothly.

I won the 1st game 1-0.

This game started off slowly. Both sides turning over the puck in the offensive zone without much shots taken. Then again, you could just say it was good defense on both parts. I think I only had 4 shots after 1 period, and DieAvsDie had 5. DieAvsDie dominated me in the face-offs. I just couldn't time it right.

Cogliano scored for me from a one timer to the slot in the 2nd period, I think... and that was it. Thankfully, Garon was a brick wall for me because I never know what to expect from him.

The 3rd line scored all these goals for me believe it or not. My 1st and 2nd line didn't do anything, and I decided to put in line 3. I got really lucky with the 1st goal. I had Grebeshkov push the puck up ahead. I had only a few shots on goal so far early in the 1st period. Right when I crossed the blueline, I had Penner fire a hard slap shot and it went in. I didn't even use the left stick to aim, because I shoot stuff wide like crazy.

I then had a cross-checking penalty and DieAvsDie capitalized really quickly with Malone getting a shot on goal, but Stamkos got the big fat rebound that Garon left and tied it up with the PP Goal.

Near the end of the period, I think with 2-3 minutes left in the 1st period Moreau (my 3rd line) got the one-timer goal.

Late in the 2nd period, DieAvsDie took a tripping penalty with Vinnie Lecavalier and I got a Power Play. I had Souray just drive to the net and I just shot it short side to throw a shot on goal instead of doing the predictable pass across the slot for the one-timer. Again, I had no idea how it went in, but I'll take it.

3rd period came and DieAvsDie controlled this period as you can see, I got outshot badly here. But Garon made save after save. I was diving all over the place trying to block some shots too. I also noticed the faceoffs were more even in this game. I know I won the first 4-5 faceoffs in a row, because I wanted to win it badly. But then I got my timing all wrong again and it went 50-50.

I'll try to copy Watti and put some screenshots and video. Hope I got it right.

Good games TC. Both were very close. I just need to play a little more and regain my scoring touch. I must have blown about a half dozen golden chances in the second game by firing it wide or high.

saw you were on Wednesday, but I did not get on till about 6:05pm. Thursdays and Fridays, not good for me. I'll see if your on this weekend. If not, lets try to set a time on Monday to get this done. I don't want to hold up the tourny.
