Wii: Motion-sensitive controls, fun to play in groups, more for casual entertainment than hardcore gaming, online isn't that great, graphical power is lacking compared to the other two. Library isn't all that expansive.


360: Xbox live costs you about $65+ a year but is considered to be the most convenient platform for online gaming between the three consoles. Earlier systems had massive hardware failure issues but newer models aren't supposed to experience these problems. Has had the advantage in game library, but this probably isn't the truth anymore.


PS3: Is also a blu-ray player. Has the highest graphical potential of all the consoles. Online play is free, but probably not up to Xbox Live's standards. Most expensive of the three, but I hear a price drop to $299 or whatever is in the plans.

I've played a pretty decent amount of each one, and I find them all worthy of a purchase. I own a 360 and would certainly recommend one, but you can't argue the fun factor of the Wii or the potential of the PS3.

my parents have a wii, so i play that when i come home.

i have a 360 and a ps3

out of all 3 consoles, i'm most satisfied with my ps3. its been rock solid and games look great. i'm on my fourth 360 (although microsoft has repaired it each time for free) so its a little hard to recommend that POS.

I'm pretty sure the debate is over. If you have all the money in the world, you'd buy all three. If you bought all three, the XBOX 360 would be played the most, you'd watch your BluRays on the PS3, and the Wii would collect dust.

This is the consensus after reading dozens if not hundreds of threads on a whole bunch of websites.

The knock on the 360 is the failure rate, but you'll also notice that people will be on their 2nd and 3rd and 4th one. If it was garbage you'd think they'd give up on it.

fair points. the only thing i really like about the 360 is the controller. but i still favor the ps3 (killzone 2 was awesome!)
