Thinking of getting a gaming console but not sure what to get, what does everyone use? If I get an xbox, which one is best to get?

I have used my 360 more, but really is because I purchased it a year ahead of the PS3...To watch movies etc, I only use my PS3. Blu-Ray etc...There are only a few games anymore that are exclusive. I myself hate Halo, but if you enjoy games like that, 360 is your choice...I would say look at the games that are exclusive for each system that are out now, and in the next year, and let that make your choice...

To me, the Xbox 360 is the best. The Wii actually has the best exclusives if you're an old Nintendo geek like I am, but the Xbox 360 has a larger quantity of good exclusives. The PS3 has its own great ones, too.
PS3 has free online and trophies. The Xbox has a much, much better online interface, but you do have to pay $40 a year for it (technically $50, but various sites sell 1 year for $40). There are also more people playing most multiplatform online games, on the Xbox. Some games run better on the 360 than the PS3; some better on the PS3.
Basically, if it's between the 360 and the PS3, it comes down to these 2 things:
1) Which system has the most appealing exclusives in your opinion?
2) Most importantly- which system are most of your friends playing on?
