Default OUYA - Open source gaming console.

Totally cool. Backed by pledgers, it's based on the android OS, and is open for anyone to develop games for. At $100, I might pick one up.

    Here is the kickstarter page:

It's weird that you posted this when you did, because I was literally just reading about this an hour ago. Anyway, sounds pretty cool and is probably worth checking out given the low price. Definitely seems interesting.

I just love that it's open source. Creative people can be free to develop/create games, and you're not stuck with whatever the major game producers want to financially back.

Pledge goal was $950k, final pledges came in at $8.6 million. Safe to say the gaming community (me included) was ready and willing to get behind an idea like this. They are still in the development stage but looks like Spring 2013 (March) is the estimated delivery date. It'll be running Jelly Bean rather than Ice Cream Sandwich as originally planned.

Has anyone seen 'Indie Game: The Movie'? It's currently available on Netflix Streaming. I watched it last month and I loved it. It's a great story about obsession, creativity, control and the passionate few who devote their life to the mostly thankless world of independent video game development.
