Thread: PES 2011 vs. FIFA 11

PES 2011 comes out on October 22nd. Lionel Messi is on the cover.

Which one will you pick?

I never played soccer video games before until I got the South Africa World Cup game. I'm going to get FIFA 11 since I got used to the EA gameplay.

Simply because Messi is on the cover of PES 2011, I would get FIFA 11.

But seriously, my whole family plays FIFA. So that alone is the reason I would get FIFA 11

I have fifa 10 and only played it twice...

Never played PES, I got FIFA World Cup 2010 and it's a ton of fun so I'll probably get FIFA 11

PES2011. Fifa looks and sounds great but plays like Blades of Steele for NES. The passing, the flow and the tactics at your disposal on PES are FAR superior. The Japanese (who IMO are expert video game players) swear by PES and so do I.

Of course none of you are going to listen to my advice, but I would recommend PEs if you really understand soccer.

Always been my experience between the two as well. PES is the deeper game, is less 'gamey,' and feels a lot more like soccer. FIFA has tinsel, bells and whistles. I don't think you can go wrong with either, depending on what draws you to the game, but I'll be picking up PES '11.

Never played PES, but I've always enjoyed FIFA, so I'll probably just stick with what I know.

Never got any of the PES games, It was called Winning Eleven when I left the series.
I did prefer it over FIFA though.
