That it was. I was absolutley dominant in the game. My go to team against other people was Inter Milan while using a 4-3-3 formation. Loved that game!

Still fun, but not perfect by any means
I really do need a soccer game fix. The smart move would be to wait for next year's which should be a good one after working out all the kinks. But this one sounds good enough and should give me a fix through summer. I think I'll get tired of NHL eventually!

I'm a fan of the Winning Eleven series but I heard this game isn't that impressive for a 2nd time around Next-Gen release.

I STILL play WE9 all the time, it's the only game I still have for the original Xbox. Although there are a number of things should've been improved and are pretty frustrating, it is still a great sim. The dang game still costs $20 on ebay!

I picked up the game yesterday. I like it, and it will most likely hold me over till next year, but I don't LOVE the game.

I'm playing on professional right now it's not that hard to score, but defending is a mess. The games I'm playing right not are really high scoring, 6-5, 7-4. I like goals and all but it's frustrating when your keeper does idiotic stuff or when your other CB just watches the other forward run right past him on a give and go.

Yeah, defending is a bitch. I usually just set my defenders to "aggressively" mark certain players. Sometimes it works...

Hey ASU, you using 360 or PS3?

Yea, I have to play around with the tactics.

    I have the 360.

Those are high scoring games, what formation/tactics are you using?

When I play with Barcelona I move Messi and Henry as RW and LW respectively (instead of SS) and it's easier for them to break free down the flanks. BTW, Ronaldinho is really fast in this game which is funny because the dude is now afraid to run on the pitch... always opting for his stupid juke moves.

One thing that pisses me off about the AI is getting the CMs to mark effectively. It's fricking impossible unless you set them as DMs, let me know if you get the same problems.

    I use Barca's 4-3-3 and Milan's 4-5-1(the X-mas tree formation).

I basically do the same thing as you, I have Ronaldo and Giggs on the wings with Rooney as my attacking mid. Hargreaves is my dmid and he does a pretty good job of covering ground. The problem is mostly my CBs falling sleep and letting guys go by them. Also the goalie charge isn't as effective as it was before.

In the 4-5-1, the D isn't too bad, the only problem is I can't really use my awesome wingers and have to rely on my outside backs for width. I only really use that formation just to change it up every now and then.

The CBs falling asleep is so true. Btw, if you look online you can probably find "Option Files" with updated kits, team names, etc. You might have to jump a few hoops to get it to work, but PES freaks are pretty good about making themselves useful.

I found a few for PS3 already, but I'll have to wait until tonight to see if i can get them to work. I'll keep you posted...
