After playing the first 3 Metal Gear games, I gave MGS4 another play through. Holy ****ing ****, it was like I was playing it for the first time. Everything about the story made SO much more sense and was immensely more powerful. For instance, I didn't think the cutscene where EVA gets on her motorcycle or the ending with Naked Snake and Zero was anything too special the first time through. The second time through I was floored by how powerful they were. So for any of you who have not played through the first 3 Metal Gear games, get off your ****ing asses and buy the Metal Gear Essential Collection! It only costs 30 bucks for all 3.
I also decided to go for the Big Boss Emblem, and I got it. Beat the game in just over 3 hours with no continues, alerts, kills, recovery items, or special items (bandana and stealth camo). You get some fun stuff if you get the emblem, including the Big Boss face camo and the Patriot gun. It's hilarious when you're wearing the Big Boss mask - everyone who sees you starts screaming in fear and flees fro you or faints. And when you arm the Patriot and aim it at someone the intro to Snake Eater starts playing.
Man, I ****ing love Metal Gear. I wish I had gotten to enjoy the games when they first came out.
