Today's consoles are more complex and have more components then your good ole N64.

Please don't use that PS3 "FIX" youtube video as a repair guide. All you will end up doing is damaging it beyond repair. Im talking about you KingsOvAllKings.

If you haven't butchered the PS3 yet, send me a PM. I repair XBOX 360's and PS3 with professional rework tools and procedures.

If you don't want to repair your system ill buy it from you. I also have XBOX 360's and PS3's available for purchase. The systems I have for sale are NOT YLOD/RROD repairs.

I wonder what the % rate of failures are with the new PS3 slim models. Like the 360, I hear they still have issues and it's pretty dumb that these companies can't produce a good piece of hardware anymore. I understand they are more complex, but that is an excuse to me. I have a lot of devices that don't fail like these modern console systems. I think it' just poor designs to tell you the truth

Its not an excuse, its fact. Believe it or keep making things up to yourself. A lot of failure is also because of user error. For the new Slim models I encounter "stuck tray" problems every day. Red light errors are starting to come in slowly.

Its not "poor" design the XBOX 360 has been redesigned/upgraded over 5 times, the PS3 even more. They continue to improve on the design. Im not trying to defend these buttholes I dont really like any of them but you should know they have the BEST people working on their consoles.

So wild dude.. We have the same thing happen to the same PS3 (mine is a December 2006 big boy).... I am using it as extra incentive.... I wont buy a new one or pick up BF3 until I save enough money...

Wow...that IS crazy! I know what you mean, I want to get Uncharted 3 and Sonic Generations...but can't until I buy a new PS3 or get this one fixed. No point in wasting my money on a game if I'm not sure if I'll be able to play it anytime soon. Good luck with your PS3, hope everything gets fixed up. Keep me updated!
