Damn, I haven't been playing with you guys for a few days, what's been goin on??? I hope we aren't getting sick of each other lol.
I agree on our offense being a little one-dimensional, but I do love to pull it back to our dmen, especially after a couple failed cross-crease passes. I think if we do a lot more passing we won't have much trouble getting into the zone, they won't expect us to go up the boards all the time where they can just cream us and go the other way. I really like using dmen to dump the puck and getting two forwards to chase it in, then we can start from behind their net. Or if all else fails, throw the puck at the net, you never know what could happen. And use CPU shots, nobody expects them!
I'm just throwin ideas out there. I love playin center and mixing it up, but sometimes I feel like the cross crease pass is the only thing we know how to do as a team haha.
I can't wait to get back out there with you guys, it's fun! I should be on throughout the day, or maybe tonight. I do want to play today though.

I don't think we are getting sick of playing with each other, actually the opposite, KLF. I just think we need to play better together.
oh, also - what camera view are you using (that's to everyone)? If you aren't seeing the whole ice, you really need to start playing using the overhead view. otherwise you can't see all of your passing options.
and don't think I'm just randomly pointing fingers, because I still suck at this game.
one thing I'm having a hard time doing is finding a target to break out when I finally get control of the puck. if the wings stay near the point and the center starts breaking out in the middle, that would give us a couple of options to go to. The better teams have been stifling us by playing fantastic positional defense against our breakout, and I can't get a pass through to someone streaking near center ice.

Yeah, I use the classic view, much easier to make passes.

I think it would be cool to have a practice mode in NHL10, which some of us have talked about before. Could be quite useful.

That goalie with the green and pink pads was super...sign him deano!
Well, I trust nobody so I come down to help out on D!!!! SO F YOU F'ers! lol, jk!
Serious though, I'm slow so I'm not the guy you want on breakaways. I also feel I'm a decent 2way player so that's why I drift down a bit more on D. I also try and run picks to help you D out.
I admit to going to the front for the one-timer a lot, but I do try and keep everyone involved when I'm not looking for the shot.
We get plenty of regulars but we also have guys that only play rarely so adjusting to new peeps is always hard on chemistry.

I think we need to be a little more patient with the puck in the offensive zone.
One thing I notice about the good teams is they will hold the puck a little longer and just turn with it until a pass is available. If we are entering the zone and aren't on an outnumbered attack, the puck carrier can curl back and hopefully a point man or high forward will be there.

I don't know a lot of your LGK Forum names to connect to your PSN/Player names.

I think it's funny, with how much I jump on offense, my position score is always at an A or A+.
I put on the skates that have better speed, but less acceleration and my player flies up and down the ice like crazy now, I love it! I can even come down the ice and prevent some breakaway goals sometimes. The breakaways aren't anybody's fault, I hate those damn cherry pickers. Then they use those lame ass moves and score some cheap goal. Gotta love it though when the goalie stops some pucks that definately should've gone in.
I still think that spin-o-rama goal scored on kwan was hilarious, I wasn't on the ice for it (penalty box...what a surprise :P) but I don't blame him, I wouldn't have stopped it either. I wanna try goal out next time we have 6 people on though.

I have noticed it seems i'm getting away with illegal checks a bit more...though the last couple of nights, testing the limits didn't help us at all. lol
