I think I need to take a break from this game. No seriously...it's just been overwhelmingly frustrating lately.

Nah don't quit on us now! We've all already hit the point of insanity lol. You're not alone! My bad about last night, my defense was absolutely horrendous at times. In the first game I was horrible, turned it right over for the first goal against. Had another turnover later in the game that didn't lead to a goal thankfully. The second game I knew I had to step it up, and I think I was much better in the game despite us losing 3-0. None of the goals were really anyone's fault. Then the last game was the same way.
But man do I love my player on defense. 95 shot power and accuracy. 96 checking. 95 speed and acceleration. I know I should be putting more into agility, but I love being the fastest haha. I wish I could upgrade my forward that high, but instead, my wrist shot power is 84 and power 85. checking 87, faceoffs 95. speed 92, acceleration 93 I think.

Actually Maxy I didn't think yer D was THAT bad...in fact if I had to give you any notes at all it would be that I notice you were calling for the puck quite a bit from the CPU players...like more so than you should have.
This is actually something we are kinda all guilty of so we really should be aware of letting a play develop before we call for a pass...at the VERY least wait for a passing lane to open up. If someone else has a better passing lane from the cpu let that person call for it.
Also we need to be comfortable calling for shots from our CPU players especially point shots or shots in the slot..there are many times where Im trying to get a shot on goal from a cpu player only to have it called off by a pass.
Two more quick notes-
Dave I know we have been struggling lately...in this instance we just need to focus on quick passes and getting the puck on net...alot of turnovers have developed from holding on to the puck a bit too long...something I will try and work on. This is another reason I want to incorporate using our D-men again. Also, if you get a chance to get a wrist shot off from the slot instead of trying to dangle around a defenseman for a onetimer do it...I will never ever ever accuse you of being "selfish" bud so if the shot is there take it!
Ben if you could try and incorporate board-play into your forecheck game it would probably be a big help. Max has made this adjustment nicely, and Im sure he would be the first to tell you it is far more effective than stick lifts and pokes.
To everyone: BOARD-PLAY is a VERY effective technique for defensive play. When used behind our net it slows down the other teams cycle and forecheck TREMENDOUSLY and keeps them from cheap wraparounds. It is also VERY effective at the blueline...far more so than the "hipcheck" that bumps the incoming forward as he simply skates around the defense and in on goal for a one-timer...basically in my humble opinion we should save the crushing body checks for "open ice" and use board-play whenever the enemy is near the boards.
I'm sure there are holes in my game right now that I can't see so I am open to notes as well boys...even though I don't really get to play save for the weekends....speaking of which I am gonna hop on now lol.
