Actually to be honest, I really wasn't calling for the puck that often. I really don't like calling for it on defense because I know it leads to a lot of turnovers. The only times I really do it is either when I'm open in the defensive zone and there's no one around, so I can get the puck to the forwards...and when the cpu is outside of the trapazoid in the offensive zone so he doesn't get pinned and turn over the puck. The cpu seems to give me the puck at the worst moments if no one calls for it. I can admit that the two times I specifically remember calling for it, it resulted in a goal against and the second time was a turnover that lead to a breakaway which was stopped.

David- Speaking of calling for the puck, sometimes you do it when there are too many players near you.

Paul- Whether I play defense or forward, sometimes I will be wide open waiting at the blueline to bring the puck in, or wide open for a point shot...you proceed to handle the puck yourself instead of passing which kind of pisses me off sometimes. But I can't complain, because more often than not you end up putting the puck in the net. But other times (when I'm rw,) you will pass to David or Ben who have 1 or 2 guys near them while I'm on the right side and there's no one near me. We all kind of do this, but we need to realize that the safe play is the better play. I said it before, but we need to either dump or pass back to the defense if we can't get the puck in. One more thing Paul, when you play lw you are all over the place in some games, so I have no idea where to be, lol.

As for me, I know that I do stupid **** sometimes, but I do realize what I'm doing wrong and I try to fix it as the game goes along (like passing to the D, making extra passes that I shouldn't have, holding onto the puck too long when I'm defense.)

One more thing to Dave and Paul, I think you guys look for the cross-crease pass way too much. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock on your guy's game because you guys work the best together and indivually, I'm just letting you know how I see things so we can improve on it.

Also, I would like to play center sometimes whether it's just me and Paul on forward, or with David and Paul just to try something different. I may not be as good positionally as you guys, but I think I might have the advantage in faceoffs a little more. I'm not saying I'm so much better at them, but my faceoff percentage has went up over 10% more since I started playing center more. There is the occasional games where I am horrible at them, though.

Also, to myself, Ben, Jon, and Felix- We really need to stop going for hits so often. When we are defense, it leads to a lot of easy breaks for the other team if we miss them. I am just as guilty as you 3, no one does it more than any other because we all **** up equally.

And Jon, please stop trying that slapshot one-timer thing. That absolutely kills us man.

Well, we got glitched tonight in a complete domination of another team. ****ing douchebags. I reported them to both EA and PSN. I hope they get what they deserve.

One more thing I wanted to say about our team play. We need to let the cpu shoot more. Sometimes they will be wide open and everyone refuses to pass to them, lol. It's just too expected when we call for the puck.

Uhh yeah. You said "calling for shots from cpu." Calling for shots doesn't do **** except one-timers for the cpu. You can't call for shots if they have already been holding onto the puck. I don't want to do those stupid slapshot one-timers anymore, all that leads to is turnovers...and that's all you can "call for" for the cpu. Even YOU were refusing to let the cpu shoot last night which is why I posted that. Everytime the puck was up in the offensive zone, you or David were calling for the puck. I'm probably the only one on the team who actually lets them shoot more than a one-timer. You ever notice when I don't have a point shot, how I pass it over to the left side and let the computer walk in and blast a shot? I don't see anybody else doing that. It's not a matter of playing defense or not either.

Yeah I have been calling for the puck when I shouldn't. I do it more when we have a two man team but I need to let the play develop before I call for the puck.

Paul and I have been talking about the cross-crease pass. The last two games we did a lot better job using the AI or shooting the puck for rebounds. Most teams are now playing better team defense, so I have noticed that we need to dump the puck in more. They have at least 3-4 guys back collapsing. That is another reason to use our D-men. The D-men just need to find ways to get the puck to the net. I see other teams just taking wrist shots rather then the slap shot. The slapshot gives the other team time to position themselves for a block shot or to poke the puck off the D-men stick.

I dont mind playing rw or lw. I actually played wing on Saturday night. Since I am so used to playing C, I sometimes think I am taking the faceoff or I follow the C and I try to throw a check or help out on defense, but then I realize that its not me but Max. Or I shouldn't drink when I play.lol

The wrister gets more rebounds, so I try that more often than a slapper.
I have a better shot as a LW, but better puckhandling/deking/playmaking (heh) as a RW.

I hit plenty...as a forward, let me get the crunch and have the D/C clean up the loose puck.

you can call for shots by pushing r1 or r2. I do it all the time if the goalie is down or out of position.

shots down low to the sides will give up rebounds, even soft wristers. I need to shoot low right side to get a fat right rebound out. if the RW parks at the bottom of the circle closest to the net, there should be some nice ones coming.
