Thought it might be easier to have all us Playstation nuts here in one thread. :crazy:
I'm digging the game, presentation is nice if a bit confusing at first.
Online Gameplay is rough so far, but I attribute that to low player attributes and a new play system.
I set up my HUT, I play much better with a locked position in this type of game.
Working the BAP for a TWD, gotta do one for a Sniper to unlock stuff.
Took a break, now back to playing!!! haha
Since I haven't played hockey since NHL 09, I suck at this game. I set up my HUT, but look like a fish out of water during my games. I think I"m going to try the position lock feature. This way I won't be pulling my defensemen out of position. I really like the set up on the HUT mode, plus I got a free pack of cards for winning the tournament on the demo mode. I just need to remember to renew player contracts.
I like the drop in game feature on BAP. My favorite option so far is being able to load your own music into the game, ha! Nothing like Pantera rocking the arena during a stoppage in play.
I finally was able to start scoring about 6 goals a game on rookie, sometimes more. wrap arounds work extremely well, you really want to change the strategy of your team to your liking - been using a lot of overload and puck cycling to get the defensemen out of position. you can get a nice walk right into the crease area with a few passes.
moved up to the aloha tournament and it is a little harder. I'm not much of an offense person as you guys well know, so playing like this is a stretch for me haha.
oh, and does anyone have the bauer boost pack? I'm looking to play with it, but it looks like it sucks - 75 speed/agility/acceleration? yikes.

So far i only have one BaP mode going offline, im a sniper got drafted number one by edmonton, and ive cracked their first line. So ive unlocked quite a few +1 boosts and the 3 slots to go with them hah.
It's taking some getting used to on the HUT mode for me. The player attributes are so low, passes are flying everywhere. I personally am having a great time with HUT though. It really makes you work to beat people. But I'm just waiting to run up against that kid that spends all his allowance buying the boost packs online and has a stacked team!
I need to download the demo and see if I'll buy this game or not. I have NHL 10 and really do enjoy the game. I'm not sure if 11 has enough to make me pay full price again
I had $5+ leftover in my PSN account so I bought a couple Jumbo Packs and a Standard pack for my HUT team. I dig it as an alternate BAGM type game.
I rather play BAP and Club/OTP but I do like to play BAGM to sim and manage the Kings so the HUT is enjoyable.
I find I actually play the games in HUT since it does have that online component, while I mostly sim BAGM.
I don't buy boosts or that kind of stuff as I like to earn those by playing and getting better.
Dude. Love this game. I got a 4 star team in UHL... took me a night of trading and such but very cool. I could see the UHL thing getting old because people are just going to throw a **** load of money into buying cards and have the best team. But i get NHL for the GM mode and they improved it even more so then last year... very happy..
Hit me up for BAP games! Kosherhamm... after 5 all i do is sit around the station waiting for a call or playing NHL.
