Anyone have any experience with racing wheels?

are they worth the cost/hassle?

Racing wheels? I honestly think they're a waste of money. What game do you need it for?

I don't really need it. I was thinking of picking up Gran Turismo 5. I've always wanted one but have always been put off by their high cost.

Racing wheels work much better for driving games than the stick on controllers, For PC I have used the microsoft wheels, excellent for use with the need for speed games.

I tried out a couple of racing wheels for the PS3 and I wasn't convinced. Some of the older wheels won't work correctly with GT and the newer ones aren't worth the price.

Sure they're pricey but if you're a hardcore driving game player it's more than worth it.
I don't have one because I want to get a nice mount/shell for my wheel...and that's even more pricey.
