Thread: Rage

Played around a half-hour last night. Looks awesome. Controls great. FPS meets Mad Max so far. Liking it. If it is short like I've heard in some reviews, I'll flip it back for $50 next Monday.

Kind of looked like a grittier Borderlands to me, but I wasn't thrilled with what I had heard about the co-op options. Also, apparently, in an effort to take a cut from the game trade-in/resale shops, they are restricting content for people that buy a used copy of the game (those that do may have to purchase it like DLC). It's only one zone I think (the sewers), but that crap doesn't sit well with me. That being said, I'm still on the fence about whether to pick it up off Steam. Maybe when the price drops.

The first release is the Anarchy Edition, and the only code I see in 360 game box is for 4 weapons/car mods. I saw the sewers last night, so I can go in there and I never entered my code.

Played another couple of hours. The racing is really well-done too. You race to earn certificates to mod your cars. Easy races are time trials and then they add opponents and then armed ones.

The jobs are ok so far. Find something/someone, do something etc. Nothing earth shattering. LOL

The only annoying thing is looting bodies. Always need to hit A. Should've been an autopickup.

Bought two discs thinking that the co-op was like Borderlands but was sadly disappointed. Returned the second disc because my wife doesn't like playing by herself.

I got it but I got it mainly for the single player.
Borderlands is fun co-op, I can see where you would be let down. The second one is def on my list to get.
Gearbox is also doing a co-op Aliens:Colonial Marines title which I'm really looking forward to.

Yeah def did not buy Rage for multi.

Stuff... gets real once you get the City quest. Wow was it fun! I'm around 4.5 hrs on the game clock now.

14 hours now. Disk 2 was at the 12 hour mark. Looks to be a 30+ hour game. The different level layouts are really cool.

So much for that 30 hours. :( Done @ 18. Very disappointing. Maybe the worst ending since Halo? Pushing buttons does not equal a final boss.

An obvious case of rushed releasing. I'm sure the DLC will be plentiful. This would have been in my Top 3 for 2011 but now it is nothing but a technical award winner.

Playtime by Disk: 12 hrs for Disk 1. 6 for Disk 2. I guess multiplayer is all that's on Disk 3 because I never used it.

was blake griffin in it? i'm waiting for the price to drop. i could use some good single player games since my roommates hog the bandwidth with the damn netflix.
