Ok so this and SR2 are both open world, like GTA? I am not, how you say, terribly gifted at these multi-button games...I grew up in the sega genesis era, so if I have trouble with the 'mission' type gameplay can I still enjoy these by being an anarchist and just jerking around???

Yup, they are open world with almost the entire map available to explore right at the beginning.

And one of the best parts about both games, which is fairly different than the GTA games, is that you can have an awesome time just messing around and missions are not integral to have a good time. I've put in a few hours with Saints Row The Third and have only done one proper mission (not counting the opening sequences). Every time I play I get distracted with just raising hell thta I tend not to get to the missions and storyline.

If anything, being an anarchist and just jerking around are at the very heart of Saints Row.

LOVIN it. No game in recent memory has provided more laughs than this one from those around. The fun factor is so far above most games, it's heads and tails above those.

It is the BEST in the series, they kept pretty much everything in, and just improved on it. COOP is a BLAST.

Yea, a friend of mine's wife, doesn't play ANY of the missions, she just turns on the god mode code and plays around in the city. It's hilarious just to mess with stuff.

Well said, and it's nice to play an open world game where you can actually fly the vehicles at the airport LOL.

Alright...I bit and bought this. Now all I need to do is get my Tv/games/surround sound set up, been avoiding it since the move...now I have a cause. Thank you all for the great info.

this game is so hilariously funny, it's a good compliment to FPS.

Man this game is a lot of fun. I've probably got about 25 hours into it but only through 10 missions as I find myself roaming quite often. I like that you are basically still rewarded for doing that because that extra money adds to cool upgrades.
