Actually, I think it fried when my idiot nephews played that thing and left the glass doors shut. They were playing for a good hour or two when I noticed that the doors where shut. The heat that came out once I opened the doors was pretty amazing.

Truth be told...I don't want to have to placate the console by pulling it out of the stand everytime I want to play it. I know that I should but keeping the doors open is enough of an inconvenience. I'm looking at scoring a nice big TV soon and with it I'm going to want to get a high end TV stand. I don't want to have to ruin the overall look of the system by treating my special needs 360. With some luck they'll send me a unit that doesn't have this problem. If not then I'll wait for a price drop and buy a 360 Elite. I've been wanting on of those anyway.

Funny thing that happened when it was delivered....I unpacked it and walked it over to the TV to hook it up and dropped it. There was 4" gap between the television and the rug and sure enough the Gamecube landed on it's corner right in the 4" gap. And yeah....it was a hard tile floor. So one of the corners is dented in. It sort of looks like it was melted. Luckily the system worked as if it were never dropped.

I actually have been playing RE4 recently and have been reminded as to how cool a system this little sucker is. Sadly, I only have the 2 games. Cool thing is I can go on eBay and score just about any Gamecube title for under $15. I just got Resident Evil Zero for only $13.
