50 bucks for a year isnt bad its worth it.. The xbox live is way better than PS3 online. Like i said the new Xbox's don't have the red ring problem.
You can't go wrong either way. Look at the exclusive games available. I have my 360 and I am happy with my decision. I got an Arcade edition and a used HD on the cheap. Throw in the cheap VGA cable to play on my monitor and I have my ideal. My buddy has a PS3. Looks good. Cost more out the box but it has BluRay.
If online gaming is important get a 360, if you want a blu-ray player and get a bit more bang for your buck (long term) get a PS3. They both have some cool games, although the 360 has a definite edge at this point.
Oh, and I love my PS3!
i have/had both and the 360s i have both died one me.
You say this like online gaming on a ps3 doesn't exist. Most of the online games that I've been playing had issues on the servers (usually EA) themselves, and not on the Sony or Microsoft side. So even if I had a 360, it wouldn't have helped much at that point. Live is good, don't get me wrong. But the PS network isn't a bad option at all.
And all of my friends own ps3's so having a 360 wouldn't help me if i felt like playing with them. So that's what helped me with my decision.
