Downloading it tonight, loved Ace Combat 6, we'll see how this holds up. Hawx seems more arcade-y than AC6 though.

Anybody else give it a go? I heard it was OK.

After the demo, it's a definite do-not-buy for me.
Controlling the plane in the cockpit is clunky and unresponsive and severely limited compared to the expert view outside the plane.
Once I went into the expert view( double-tap the gas or brake ), I wanted to wrench the plane over to get a better shot at a target, but it would always roll to level, then pitch down; The controls in the expert view seemed oversimplified. Once I set super-expert mode, where in expert view, you have full control over the plane to pitch, roll, yaw as you see fit, it's easier to get quicker turns, find your target, but it's possible to tell what direction you are going.
Also, I could never get the target I wanted, which was annoying.
Everything looked overly lit, fake, just unlikeable. I would highly recommend getting Ace Combat 6 over HAWX.

thanks for the review Loso, now I can skip this one too.
I so wish they'd make a Crimson Skies 3, 2 was so awesome.

Play it anyways, just so you know. I enjoy flight sims, but Ace Combat 6 pretty much knocked one out of the park for me, my tastes may differ from yours.
