Gamespot gave it a 9.5/10 and other sites have it rated in the 90% range, it is that good and it will raise the bar for RTS's in the future.

My PC Review:This game so far, has exceeded all my expectations. Alec Baldwin does a nice job on narrating Larry Bond's (Author of Red Storm Rising) story, the soundtrack features Tears for Fears "Everybody wants to Rule the World". The other actors are excellent as well, the story inspires laughs and cries at times, and I am constantly wanting to know what a certain character in the story is going to do next.

There are 20 multiplayer maps, and 3 multiplayer modes, plus the 14 mission campaign, 3 sides, USA, NATO, and the USSR. It basically asks the question, "What if the Cold War had not ended and the superpowers had come to blows?" The AI can be enabled to play by itself or with allies (COOP vs the comp is possible), and has behavioral modes like Obedient, Balanced, Defensive, etc, so you can choose how it acts.

Rather than spending time basebuilding as in other RTS's it tosses you right into the heat of battle with a handful of units that gain veterancy, with stunning visuals unlike anything I have seen to date and I am only playing it on medium detail, it's even more beautiful on the high end comps!

Many people have said the single player mission is worth the price of the game alone, Gamespot gave it a 9.5/10 and other sites have it rated in the 90% range, it is that good and it will raise the bar for RTS's in the future.

It is currently out for PC and the 360 version will be released later on.

I would also look into NHL 2K8 if you don't have it already, you can do the same move Kopi did in the shootgoal last night, that's for sure.

Have you downloaded the demo from LIVE of Black Site Area 51?

Also planned are GTA IV, and Tom Clancy's End War and these could be worth a look!
