Try the Wii Zapper (for yourself). It's like having your own arcade shooting game without dropping quarters every time you lose. So far the only on-rails shooting games I know of are Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, which I just got. I hope they make more games like these.
I'm not really into racing games, but Mario Kart Wii is really fun online. The other racing game I have is Speed Racer.

The rechargeable batteries are worth it.
Wii FTW.
Two great games for kids that the parents will also enjoy watching/helping:

Does anyone use the HD components? Tell me if you've experienced this: It would have different colors on a Vizio LCD screen. It's like green would turn into blue.
Sounds like it could be the wire or the input on the TV? Weird. I have the Nintendo-branded component cables (which came-out Day One), and those have been great for me for years now.
I double checked that and was hoping that was the case, but every cable is put in the right slot. The picture settings? They are all default. What's the brand of your component cables? Maybe I should get another one.
EDIT: I noticed tha the blue cable is not functioning at all. I think that's what's causing the colors to be different. I'm just not sure if it's the slot or the cable.
