    It may be the slot on this tv. You said they worked on your Samsung. Try it again on the Samsung, and if they work there, then you know it's the other tv that has the issue.

    I'll try that, but that Samsung TV is only 720p. This Vizio is 1080p. And since the Wii can only handle 480p, do you think it matters if your TV is 720p or 1080p?

    I'll definitely look into this.

    Ok, I just bought the official Nintendo Wii HD component cables. It worked this time. The problem all along was the blue cable of the old components. But it's weird, it worked for the Samsung TV.

    It's a great game once you get used to the controls. If you don't like the Wiimote-nunchuck style, you can swith to the classic controller.

    agreed. took a few games to get used to controls and to figure out that the game defaulted to pro level out of the box

    I've read a lot on the Homebrew Channel and I'm interested in getting it. But the idea of possibly having my Wii 'bricked' keeps me from doing it.
