I wouldn't be intimidated by it, it's relatively easy to install. Depending on your wii menu version there are a couple different ways to install it via Twilight princess hack or Bannerbomb. Check out

right. my fear is that Nintendo will brick it with one of their updates. I'll just wait until there is a version that I'm comfortable with.

Then don't update it. All their updates do these days is delete homebrew and you will be unable to play burned games. Your loss. Peace.
