Does anyone here use this for 360? I want to know if it really works and protects the XBOX from the dreaded RROD.

don't quote me on this but I've heard that they can sometimes make the problem worst (because they draw more power)

I agree with nayagamj especially if the power source connects through the third party cooler system if that thing short circuits it will cause an overload
Yeah, don't bother with it. If it dies, it dies. =\
Does anyone know if the new 360s are RROD free? Like the new black one they just released... I'm sure there is no problem anymore right?

Just make sure your Xbox is in a vented area and either turn on your AC when it's 100 degrees or stay off of it. I personally just ripped open the top of the xbox after my system RRoD'ed. All you need to do is take of the x-clamp buy a computer case fan screws and artic cooler thermal paste.

Supposedly the new design has air vents that will let it flow better but you won't get the RRoD now it'll just be "Red Dot of Death".
New Xbox 360 has red dot of death, instead? Not quite -- Engadget
Good thing the new system shuts your system down way before it overheats.

I joined this not so exclusive club last night:
Sending my 360 in to Microsoft today, glad they extended the RROD warranty to 3 years from purchase as I bought mine 2 years and 9 months ago.
Anyone sent their 360 in for RROD repair before? If so, how was the process, how long did it take? Sent my PS3 in when the laser died and had it back in a week, was surprised how quickly Sony took care of it.

I will see you...in the next life
I think everyone has at some point. It isn't too long. It takes 3-4 days to get to Texas and then it's "repaired" for a day, and then 3-5 days back.
