Just had a thought...
So the serial number for the very first 360 I bought at launch already has an expired warranty. It was previously sent off due to RRoD and I got a replacement 360 in the mail.
Would my replacement have a different serial number and updated warranty terms? It seems stupid that they would send me another faulty one that was just destined to fail again. But then again, I guess this is why there are class action lawsuits about this very stuff.
I'm at work and can't check, but maybe somebody knows...?
The "new" Xbox will have a different serial number, but it will be updated on Microsoft's site with the same warranty.
