The best thing that ever happened to me was the week my Xbox RRoDed which was the same exact week I bought a PS3 and PSN was offline for a month. Friend gave me some steam games and an Xbox PC controller and I've never looked back. My 6 year old ROG (Asus G72GX laptop) had been able to play all games on Steam and once a year I buy all of my games on my wish list for pennies on the dollar. (See Steam Christmas month sale)

I won't be buying an Xbox One and I loved both the original Xbox and 360. I guess it is a good thing that I've become quite the non-gamer the last couple years. I was in Gamestop the other day with my youngest brothers while they bought a few used games and I had absolutely no desire to play any of the games I was looking at. I even sat down to play some Halo 4 today to try and get through Legendary Campaign but turned it off after 5 minutes because I was bored. And that's coming from someone who religiously bought and played all the previous Halo games. I don't know if I'm making a good choice in not gaming much or will regret missing out on some great games to be released the next few years.

$499. Coming November 2013. Yuck.
As for all the games it showed today during the conference... I honestly didn't care for any of it. It looks cool and everything but nothing screams "I want it NOW!" at all. Metal Gear Solid 5 looked a lot like Red Dead Redemption.
Lets see what Sony has in store with their conference tonight at 6 PM.

The fact that it can run games at 60FPS is okay. But im sure the PS4 will run higher.
M$ lacked information on the subscription family plan, and no kinect info.
Battlefield 4, Project Spark, DeadRising 3, GTAV, and the new Halo are the only games i was interested for.
So now we wait to see what EA shows at 1pm.

Looks like I'll get a new 360. They re-designed it and my old 360's dvd drive is acting up. I'll be enjoying new, borrowed and used on it. There are still plenty of good games I never got to play. Sure MS will still get my money but not as much of it.
I might get a WiiU for Nintendo games. I played the demos and it was really fun to play.

Thanks Sony, you just made it so MS is going to have to change their approach on used/rental games.
