Oh man, I deserve a major facepalm right now. I walked around for about a minute and I never got a "final mission" as the son. Damn I feel stupid!
Finally finished this game a couple nights ago, had to take some time off since I was moving the past couple weeks. Loved the way they handled the end, I was at first disappointed that John pulled a Butch Cassidy and feared that was the end, but the final redemption part with Jack was excellent. Great setup for future iterations if they go that direction.
Waiting for the undead DLC now, though I'm curious how they position it within the story? Maybe it'll just be a stand alone episode that doesn't necessarily fit within the narrative?
I will see you...in the next life
I don't think it's actually episodic DLC, just extended game modes in online play.
Just got to playing RDR again after putting it aside for 4 months. Been playing this game in pretty much every spare moment. ****ing awesome game.
Comes out next week!.... maybeThe Undead Nightmare story takes place during the “home” period of the main game, while John is trying to rebuild his ranch but before the end of the game, a period that we imagined took several months. You play Undead Nightmare as John, and it is an entirely stand alone game that runs separately from Red Dead Redemption’s main story. As for whether it’s literally a nightmare or not – you are going to have to play the game and find out for yourself…

Comes out on the 26th!
Dex, you know you're not gonna get it. None of you guys even play RDD anymore. What happened?
Red Dead Redemption: Zombies Ate My Everything - Xbox 360 Preview at IGN
For just 10 bucks (800 Microsoft points), Rockstar is adding what nearly amounts to a whole new game. There's a roughly six hour storyline, complete with cutscenes and new music. There are all new enemies, mounts to ride, outfits to wear, side-quests and challenges. There's even new multiplayer content (which I can't talk about until next week). This download is, to put it succinctly, absolutely huge. And it's all going to be available October 26.
