Another instance of Wussy Baseball players

That doesn't make baseball players wussies, that just makes hockey players tough (or dumb, depending on your POV).

I know a few knuckleball pitchers that had to sit out two weeks or longer with a broken fingernail... There are two ways of delivering the ball with that pitch...either dig your fingernails in the ball or rest your knuckles on it... I always used the latter method when I was active...and still use it occasionally as an umpire when a pitcher whines too much about my calls...

Try pitching with with a hangnail. In fact, just try to throw the ball with a hangnail. As for wussies, that would be a football player. They only play 16 games in a season. That's not even 1 months' worth of games in a baseball season.

Hangnails are no laughing matter.

It is obvious the lighning strike was close and I would run like hell too after seeing this happen.

Thanks Bogey. I bet the OP would change their mind now. I was hit w/ about 440 volts of DC on Friday while at work. And let me tell you, it hurts like a son of a bitch. The feeling in indescribable. Everyone needs to have a healthy respect for electricity in general.
