Default so a cop responds to a vicious dog call...

I'm a Police Officer in Baltimore City. ... Today I received a call while on duty about a vicious dog chasing kids. When I came on the scene, I noticed people yelling out their windows at the dog....

Love it! Great story. I wish I had the space (and time/money) to rescue animals!

    Thanks for the link.

pits get suck and bad rap. sure, some have been trained to be monsters. But raised with love and kindness, they are truly, the best family dog on the planet. And from my experience, the smartest dogs. And other than this crazy ass Australian Cattle Dog I have now, I'd own no other breed.

One of mine is part pit it scares everyone but is the sweetest dog ever. I do love that people keep their distance when he is hanging out with me. I dont like people much would rather hang the with the animals they are so much smarter.
ALL my animals have been rescues, I highly recommend it 3 dogs, 4 birds and 2 hamsters

When I was younger I loved the idea of large dogs but somehow the trials of getting a new place as a 20 yo with just a dog that weighed 30lbs was enough to beat the concept out of me. We moved 4 times with our dog and each time it was an uphill battle just to get people to ok a spaniel. I can't imagine how hard it would have been with a retriever let alone a pit. I don't think large dog lovers realize just how hard it is to own one of these dogs without being a homeowner or having sweetheart deals.

been there, done that, with a 40 lb aussie shepherd/pit/lab mix (I left out the word pit bull just for sanity sake because a lot of people, unfortunately and unnecessarily, fear that breed and would not allow such a dog with even a smidge of the breed to occupy their property). I have found that it is easier to move in with people who had/have dogs on the premise and have a yard which is a huge plus. however, it takes a special kind of luck that one would be more than happy to care for your dog once you are away for work, school, vacation, etc.

this type of people is very few and far in between. I have had much luck finding places on craiglist than any other services.

Blasphemy! Nothing Beats a Goofy Lab!
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.
