I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!
The drought is indeed bad, but a lot of it is man made. The vast majority of that water was forced by judges and tree huggers to be released to the ocean because of a smelt, and for the last 30 years, all plans to build more water storage in California has been stopped by these same folks. If water storage had been allowed to built, a few years back when the snow pack was nearly 180% that water could be getting you through this now, especially in the central valley where farms and ranches are pulling trees, fallowing fields, and sending beef where ever they can because they can't feed them. And by the way, those farmers and ranchers are still paying the bill for 100% of their supposed allotted water, but only receiving less than 1/3 of that. I am trying not to get political. There is a drought, no doubt about it. I hope your water rationing Nazis go after all the big city elites that will not let their yards go brown, pools be empty or their BMW's be dirty, and not just Beerman, notbob, and the rest of us middle class slobs for trying to flush a turd down the toilet to often.
I'm younger than my tongue, and older than my teeth.
CA, the land of fruits and nuts...
As for being a "water rationing Nazi", I'm not one, ok well sorta, water waste is the bigger issue.
There are still a lot dopes that spend an hour hosing off their driveway because they are too lazy to sweep, or guys who leave the hose going while they wash their car instead of putting a shut off nozzle on it, so while they soap the car hundreds of gallons flows to the gutter. Morons who leave a hose on to water a flower bed then forget about it for hours and end up flooding out their yard. Busted and faulty irrigation is another issue. There is simply too much water that goes to the gutters because some people are careless or just don't give a damn.
So realistically speaking... how much rainy days do we need per year to "fix" this drought?

While it seems like most of you are allergic to the "like" button, I just want to personally say thanks for looking anyway.
I had to laugh when a few months ago our mayor had his save the river campaign.
Just think, all that water in the river is sprinkler runoff.
I was talking to a neighbor last week about the 8 minutes for each valve.
He proudly said he only runs his 7 mins ea.............but he didn't say 7 days a week.
the drought we are in...
...is nothing. The season hasn't even started yet. We just won the Stanley Cup again!!! 45 years is a real drought if you ask me. Quit complaining and enjoy the moment.
Just jumping in real quick before this gets political and shut down. To blame this drought onis ridiculous because our disgraceful water wasting lifestyles is NOT what is causing the drought. We could be saving every drop of water possible and this drought would still be happening. In conclusion, wasting water does not equal drought just as weather does not equal climate.judges and tree huggers

I'll keep my BMW washed regularly, mind you.
Only by living absurdly is it possible to break out of this infinite absurdity.
