They would have to absolutely filthy to require a professional cleaner or more than a hose and a simple squeegie (sp?) As long as the install was done properly, hosing them off isn't a problem at all.

Interesting way to seal all these holders...isn't it a bit over the top? I think smaller versions, with less material used, would be just fine...or is this commercial stuff that is not available in smaller sizes?

When you're guaranteeing something for 20 years, no its not over the top. This process is much quicker than our old process. Any leaks are our responsibility.

Build your roof with solar panels.

They actually do do that in a way. Its called B.I.P.V. Building Integrated Photovoltaics. The good part about putting them on the traditional way is that the shade that the modules create will actually help cool the inside if the house.
