Cochlear Implants are amazing for the right candidates. My wife doesn't want them. She tried digital hearing aids, which cost $2,000 each, and within a week she returned them and went back to analog. She couldn't handle all the new noises, and didn't understand where they were coming from (i.e. a Plane flying overhead, the constant drone of household appliances, etc...). Too much change for someone in her late 30's at the time.
I know a lot of people with Cochlear Implants, and a lot of deaf people who don't even want to try them.
Nice to see how happy she was. Very touching video, thanks for sharing.

I get what he's saying. Its a generational thing. Just by a few comments I could probably guess close to his age. My parents are in their late 60's and they do not like tattoos. My dad HATES them, my mom has come around on them. She doesn't like them but she doesn't hate them. I have a few and plan on getting more. They come from a era when it was armed forces thing and a biker thing. "Regular" people didn't have them. And now everyone has them.Quote:
